I have tried almost every scent from Arcana this year, with a few exceptions. Every creation from Arcana is a wonderful and amazing adventure but not all are made to be my every day wear, and naturally some don’t work on me at all. My chemistry tends to make anything lean sweet, so at first, I didn’t think vanilla anything would be for me. I’m a buff, tall queer lady, my sweat smells like sawdust—literally. But Metztli…oh my. She’s my every day wear. I sleep in this. I adore it. When my first pack of samples arrived, it fell a little to the wayside. My first love was Frigga, and Rán had a brief affair as a daily as well. One day, I happened to pick this one up. It had rested for about a month in a dark cool drawer in my house. I put it on one wrist to give it a solid try. An hour later I put more on the other wrist. The next day I was basically ready to take a bath in it. My partner loved it and told me that I smelled nice in the stinkiest grocery store I’ve ever been in. Wow. That’s about all I needed. I ordered the full size. I just adore this. I wear it, alone or layered, every single day. Thank you, Arcana. I love everything you create but this is my true love.
