Hel: (New formulation) She reigns over the dark realm of Helheim, and her scent is one of horror and the unyielding void. An opening of gum tree roots and hollow air leads to a heart of glowing cedarwood, bone white iris, salt, ash, iron, nagarmotha, and swirling smoke.
A warm atmospheric with iris and smoke. Limited edition.
Parfums are offered in 5 ml amber glass apothecary bottles and 1.25 ml amber glass sample vials. EDPs are offered in 10 ml and 30 ml glass spray bottles.

I purchased this sample along with a few others from the Hel's Belles collection. Out of the samples I picked out, Hel, Skadi and Ran have similar base note scents. The big difference to me is in the 1st hour or so. Hel has this very smoky opening that in the bottle reminds me a little of the barbecue smell that can sometimes happen. I don't even mind this, but it does change a little once it's on my skin and the barbecue aspect goes away, giving it a chance to develop into a sweeter, resinous quality. I think this is another winner from this collection.
Ok y’all- this is the smoky cousin to Skadi, or Skadi is cousin to Hel. I plan on upgrading size on this with my next order! I didn’t think I’d be able to smell all the notes in this perfume, but I’m so impressed that I actually can smell the iris and iron and ash!…… Witchcraft I say!! It’s a surprising combination that go really well together! It’s light, and makes me feel like a badass when I wear it.

Insanity, this fragrance is the physical experience of darkness and void through scent and it is masterfully done. It feels impossible to describe, deeply hollow, a feeling of being pulled inward, swirling ash, mineral earth. This is the art of perfumery executed so powerfully and beautifully that it changes concepts through its existence. Thrilled to be here for it, so freaking cool!!!!
