Grímhildr: For this beautiful and evil Viking sorceresss, almost a rose soliflore: a profusion of blood red roses with dark musks, forest mosses, black silk, luxurious amber, delicate woods, and our hand-extracted fir essential oil.
A mossy, lightly coniferous dark rose.
Perfumer's Note: Grímhildr contains the fir essential oil we extracted in a recent video.
Parfums are offered in 5 ml amber glass apothecary bottles and 1.25 ml amber glass sample vials. EDPs are offered in 10 ml and 30 ml glass spray bottles.

This is an exciting twist on rose. There is something sensual about it that still brings elegance. I'm finding I like Arcana Wildcraft's take on "fir" and forest-like fragrances. There is an atmospheric quality to them that hasn't clicked with me from other houses. I sampled the oil but I imagine this dark rose would truly bloom as an EDP!
I honestly didn’t think I would enjoy this fragrance as much as I do. Arcana Wildcraft has worked their magic on me yet again. I usually am not a fan of rose heavy perfumes at all, but this is simply intoxicating. It’s very strong upon first applying and even on the dry down the projection is out of this world, but I’m not upset about it at all! It exudes confidence and makes you feel dark and mysterious. This is a rose forward scent I can get behind. Yet another fragrance I would consider buying a full size of!

Grímhildr is a haunting smoky moss rose that instantly drops you into the heart of Princess Mononoke’s spirit forest: a dark, damp black rose blooming through cool mineral smoke and thick, dark emerald fir trees, like petals scattered across the forest floor where kodama watch and wolves prowl. It’s wild, slightly dangerous, and achingly beautiful - the breath of the Shishigami itself. One spray and you’re lost in the deepest, greenest woods. Pure forest magic in a bottle.
Grímhildr in Norse legend, embodies contradiction, beauty and danger, tenderness and power, love and vengeance. The fragrance mirrors this duality perfectly. This is not a soft, gentle, pretty in a vase rose. This is a dark red, full bodied, velvety, bloody rose thriving in a shadowy northern forest. It opens with deep moss and strong fir, a red rose peaking, which then emerges a wild, untamable, crimson rose, rising from the darkness from which it was born. This is the rose that rules its enchanted forest without question. The amber adds allure, warmth, and complexity, echoing the multifaceted nature of Grímhildr herself. I wonder if the perfumers vision of an almost rose soliflore is Grímhildr incarnate. For this rose does not bloom alone, nor did Grimhildr..but stronger emerged with her surroundings and roots.. breathing the essence of her power, her shadow, and her magic. Regardless, This is her rose, and it is brazenly sovereign, wild, untamed, and enduring. It lingers, not merely on the skin, but in the imagination, a crimson echo of Grímhildr’s power, her shadow, and her magic. To wear it is to step into her forest, to be both captivated and unsettled, to witness beauty that commands and prevails. The strongest truest red rose I’ve ever encountered and one that will not be forgotten, for she is eternal and wears eternal, truly.🌹
