In oil form, this is an potent dense butter scent to my nose. The other notes mainly just give it herbal undertones and adds a bit of complexity (I don’t get much linen). You really do need to like lactonic scents to enjoy this but this is exactly what I was looking for.
I wasn't expecting to like this one as much as I do! One of my new favorites, so cozy and dimensional
This is so incredibly beautiful. It begins with a rich, milky note that combines with the frankincense to make something elevated beyond the individual components. It is not overly sweet or foody, but is luscious, smooth, warm and soft. I would wear this at any time of year. Completely unique, and I may need another bottle!
I’m thinking about getting a bigger size of this one because I enjoy it so much. Or perhaps I’ll try it in the oil form next since Arcana’s oils have amplified lactonic notes for me in the past and their milk/cream is my favorite. The milk and linen combination is so different and interesting. It’s slightly sour, buttery, but also crisp and clean. The hinoki comes out more in the dry down, or I’d say after about 20 minutes or so, and it smells slightly herbal and crisp which smells beautiful against the creaminess of the milk. I love this for the cooler weather so much.
